Small class sizes ensure that I am able to give focused attention to each student, with emphasis on learning all skills needed to complete your chosen projects.

Classes are suitable for the absolute beginner and those with more sewing experience. All levels and interests are catered for as I work with each student’s current capabilities helping to build expertise and confidence at a pace that’s suitable to you.

With my individual guidance you are encouraged to choose and work on projects which specifically interest you. My focus is on helping you achieve your sewing goals, inspiring your creativity and design skills whilst producing beautiful, well finished work.

Bring along your interesting fabrics and threads and we can play around with colours and patterns to make fabulous adults and children’s clothing, cushions and other home-wares, handbags, gifts for friends and family, soft-toys, simple quilts and much, much more. Alternatively, I can help you with any project you are currently working on.

All sewing skills such as dressmaking, learning how to read patterns, inserting zips, button holes, over-locking, hemming, hand sewing, etc are taught as required. I work with your current capabilities and help you to extend your skills. I have many years of teaching experience and love sharing my knowledge and skills with my students.

A Pfaff sewing machine is provided free of charge for each student, and two overlocker machines are also available for student use.

Classes are held in a lovely, light, bright, well equipped studio.
