Since graduating I have worked for many years across the disciplines of textiles, mosaics, jewellery, metal and 3D Design.

My business, Louise Marie Back – Creative Sewing Classes, was established in 2009.

Since then I have taught countless adults and children to sew, introducing them to new skills and opening them to the joy of sewing. The love of colour, pattern and design are strongly woven into my creative life and this is reflected in my teaching. I am passionate about, and derive great satisfaction inspiring creativity and passing on my knowledge and many skills to the community.

In a world of mass produced clothing, toys and homewares, I love to see my students creating and expressing their individuality by hand making beautiful objects and stunning ‘one off’ garments. Sewing is a readily accessible skill that is worthy and vital and will endure now and into the future.
